C.1820. A luscious Georgian 'Harlequin' pendant. The Harlequin jewelry was in fashion in the late 18th and early 19th century, and the beautiful combinations of the foiled backed stones in pastel colors were made into pendants, necklaces, brooches and earrings. These multi-colored jewels are now very rare and highly collectable. This pendant here has the prettiest and the most desirable color combination of purple, pink, pastel blue, yellow and red. The pendant is set with the natural gemstones: aquamarine, topaz, quartz, tourmaline, garnet, and citrine. The gold tests between 12-15k, and the pendant is English in origin. The stones have some surface wear, yet this piece is overall in good condition with the delightful and bright colors.
